CLAY IN THE WOODS
Our first weekend of workshops at Re*****on House to commemorate one year of owning Re*****on house — two slow sessions among the trees, whichever one calls to you.

Slow Morning (10am–1pm)
A guided meditation surrounded by trees, then handbuilding your own piece of ceramic art, with coffee, tea, and something light to snack on.

Golden Hour (4pm–7pm)
As the light turns gold, build your own girl dinner plate and sauce dish, with girl dinner and drinks alongside.

Allison will be there to guide you through it all, from raw clay to underglaze to the final firing. No experience needed — just some time, and a little curiosity.

$75/person, with a discount when you come alongside a friend. 8 spots per session.

Wildish advice for the weekend, travel with your pups. Remi and Ranger are our sweetest boys and we are so grateful when we find a place to travel with them.

We wanted to provide that to others when creating The Re*****on House.

So travel with your pups, get the cutest photos and enjoy the present with them.

Good drinks, great company, and even better creations. Sharing the joy of clay with others is always an evening well spent and this class understood the assignment. Everyone got a little messy and practiced embracing imperfections because the imperfections are what make art so unique. I can’t wait to see how the finished pieces turn out.

Packing for this Thursday’s Clay and cocktails class.

I like to have as much organized as possible before I get to the venue to teach. This means prepping each participants “toolbox” before I get there, allowing for a faster set up.

This particular class toolbox includes:
- Tote for the finished piece to be stored in post class.
- MDF board for finished piece to be placed on for drying
- Needle tool
- Silicone Scraper
- Wooden sculpting tools
- Sponge
- Paint palette for underglazing

Each tote is set as a place setting for each person along with rolling pins and 1/4in reference sticks at the start of the class.

From start to finish this tote is dedicated to that persons’ work allowing safe travel for their finished piece back to my studio from the venue as well as keeping track of which piece belongs to whom.

Dreaming of fall days like this. Cozy blankets and crew neck sweatshirts. Reading a book, then doing a carefree craft while the fire is burning.

Re*****on house is my go to place for an intentionally slow fall day. Nothing to do and no where to be other than cuddled up with a window cracked to smell that fall breeze.
