NC12 still closed, NCDOT to begin repairing the dune at Pea Island

· NC12 remains closed from the Basnight Bridge to Rodanthe. While tide levels are too high to begin repairing the road at the Pea Island Visitor Center, NCDOT will begin rebuilding the protective dune there as tides allow.
· There is still no timeline for when NC12 will re-open on Pea Island. For real-time travel updates, visit DriveNC.gov.
· As the emergency ferry service continues between Rodanthe and Stumpy Point, it is also transporting fuel, groceries and other commodities between the Outer Banks and the mainland.
· All seven regular vehicle ferry routes are in service today, with Hatteras-Ocracoke and Cherry Branch-Minnesott Beach offering reduced schedules. Ferry schedules (including the emergency ferry) can be found here. https://bit.ly/3bWyY6p
