OPEN FOR BUSINESS.

The Green River Ferry at Mammoth Cave National Park will reopen March 5 after an extended closure.

Services were suspended as the ferry underwent repairs following flooding last spring. Navigational cables and support towers had to be repaired.

The ferry also received some upgrades while it was drydocked.

Daily operations are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., barring high water levels.

In the middle of tiny Glendale, Kentucky, you’ll find The Whistle Stop, a warm, family-style place that has served Southern comfort food for more than 40 years. Nolin Lake State Park is closed for the foreseeable future… after severe spring flooding left behind widespread damage. From trails and campsites… to the electrical and wastewater systems

UPDATE on maintenance activities at the Nolin Tailwater.

Contractors have arrived to begin the stilling basin repair project at the Nolin Tailwater. The stilling basin area is now closed to public access.

Facilities open at the Tailwater are:
Upper Tailwater
-Picnic area with limited parking open and access to the river. This area may be closed as work progresses.

Lower Tailwater
-Picnic shelter, playground, boat ramp and restroom.

Thank you for your patience. We will be re-opening facilities after the work is completed in 30 – 45 days.

✨grab all the essentials -gas, ice, drinks, saddle - and head back out to keep floating!
