Campsite number 5 "Upper Middle Ground" is just above the middle of the campground. This campsite is right next to Campsite #6 and away from all the others. Next to the fire pit there is enough space to have your kids or additional family members or friends camp out in their tent on the nearly flat higher elevated (can easily be seen/monitored from camper) tent site. This is located next to the trail and next to the washing station. Upper Middle Ground Campsite #5 is located on the East side of the campground so it only gets the late morning and afternoon sunlight otherwise it’s in the canopy of the woods. It enjoys a higher elevation above everyone except Campsite #6 which is the highest elevation in the campground, but enjoys one of the nicest views of the grounds. This campsite is a back into site, and the backing is uphill, so a 4x4 is not required but comes in handy especially after a rainy day. The campsite landing itself is gravel like all our other campsites, but it is dug out into the hillside so it is pretty flat, with plenty of space for most pop out sliders, although the ground space is more limited, so parking near to driver side is advised for more allowance of retractable ladder if you have one for getting in and out of your camper. We look forward to meeting all of you, but if you prefer to be a left alone and just enjoy the quiet, let us know.
