CAMPGROUND UPDATE.....

It's been a few weeks since we've posted anything, but we wanted to give an update on the campground transition. Being here 13 years as an ATV park, we've never seen as much back to back rain and river flooding as we have in the last three months. The river bottoms have been under water about 90% of the time since we began our transition to a campground and it has really hindered our progress on our trails and road to the river. So all we've been able to do is work on the sand hill side. As you can see in the picture, water is in the parking lot and it has all of the swamps and sloughs flooded. We had originally planned to have some of these projects completed in time for Memorial Day this weekend. But, obviously that is not going to happen. We are going to be closed this weekend and we will keep you updated as far as when we'll open back up. Hopefully, this rain will slow down and things will dry out so we can get some upgrades finished out here in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for your patience! We're looking forward to seeing y'all out here sometime soon!

Just want all of you to know that someone has created a fake Fat Daddy's facebook using part of our old logo. This is our only page.

We'd like to thank everyone who had positive things to say in comments/messages/calls about our transitioning from Fat Daddy's ATV Park to Fat Daddy's Campground. There are a few things we want to mention....We first want to clarify that we will no longer allow atv/utvs on the property. We have plans to make upgrades to the road down to the river and a few of the trails to make them golf cart friendly for those who want to bring a golf cart. We will be closing off/blocking a large percentage of the old, existing atv trails. We realize that all we have as of right now are grassy campgrounds, good, clean shower houses, a few water/electric hookups, and plenty of primitive camping space for those who want to come on while we are doing the upgrades. We have a lot of good things planned, but they will take some time to put in place. Until then, if you just want to get out and camp for the weekend, we'll be open. By the way, we are still flooded on the road to the river so no one would be able to access that right now anyway. We'll open Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. and be open through Sunday at 5:00 p.m. We're excited about the changes. We know it's gonna be a slow process, but we're confident we made the right move!
