My ewe lamb "Needy" that got attacked by my neighbors dog has been living in a crate in my house, and was finally able to be moved to the porch.  Believe it or not I think she was going to recover and be able to keep use of her leg. Ironically, she got into a container of feed during the night, got bloated and died about an hour ago. I did everything I could to save her, but she was already past the point of saving when I discovered her this morning… I gave it my best shot though.
She never should've been on the porch in the first place.  If my neighbor's wife would simply keep her dog on their property, all my sheep would be alive and uninjured in their fenced-in field as they should've been.
You can't spend that much time taking care of an injured baby and not get attached. She had become a pet that followed me around, like a dog. My heart is broken.
With all my heart, I hope that Gottfried Koblitz and his wife Mary receive in their lives the full measure of respect, joy, compassion and prosperity they show to, and bring to, other people. With all my heart. I hope they get everything they deserve, and everything they have earned.

As a matter of public record… Found another ewe dead today. She has dog bites and bruising on her haunch. No part of her was eaten and the attack happened before noon today.
