Weaverville Hotel Emporium

Weaverville Hotel Emporium The hotel has been providing hospitality since 1861! DECEMBER 31st WILL BE OUR LAST DAY The building is on the National Register of historic places.

The Weaverville Hotel and Emporium has within a two block radius, a gym (guests have gym privileges), 2 coffee houses, several good restaurants, an antique store, several art galleries, the historic Chinese Joss House, and the Jake Jackson Museum and Blacksmith. There are several interesting shops as well, including our own Emporium featuring fine chocolates, sterling silver jewelry, European and

American soaps and fragrances, a great selection of women's clothing, and other great gift ideas for every pocketbook. The hotel, originally built in 1861, was last rebuilt in 1880 after burning to the ground. We have painstakingly restored it to the original high ceilings and wood floors, attempting to recapture as much of the original charm as possible. In fact this entire end of town is on the National Register. Please be informed that the building is a smoke-free environment. There are swings and rocking chairs along the side of the building where guests are welcome to smoke if they wish. Also, lots of books available, but if you really need a T.V. in your room, this might not be the place for you. Service animals only please. We are following the Virus guidelines set forth by the governor of California. We frequently wipe down commonly touched surfaces in the hotel. We also ask that you wear a mask when in common areas, and to social distance whenever possible. We have hand sanitizer available in the common rooms. Thank you for your cooperation in these challenging times.

The Weaverville Hotel Emporium (the hotel’s gift shop) closed officially December, 2023. The Weaverville Hotel changed hands then also and continues to be operated as a hotel. I have been unable to figure out how to transfer the hotel’s Facebook account to the new owners. My apologies to all.
