Tomorrow (April 25th) is International Marconi Day, an annual tribute to Guglielmo Marconi’s pioneering work in long-distance radio and his historic 1901 transatlantic signal.
Originally organised by the Cornish Radio Amateur Club, this 24-hour global event features amateur radio stations operating from historic Marconi-related sites worldwide.
Locally, the Dover Amateur Radio Club will host a special event tomorrow (Saturday the 25th of April) at the Maison Dieu in Dover. Doors open at 10:00 AM, with live demonstrations of amateur radio in action as the club connects with other stations across the globe.
