Too much sun? Head North on route 1 or Post road. That’s what I did yesterday. I made a few stops to favorite places I make sure I visit while staying at .
First, I discovered a new shop ☺️
&gifts.
Look for the giant yellow 🐤, it stands out amongst the 🐓!
The store is a feast for the eye and the belly! Candies in jars, wrapped candies, chocolates (small assortment) and more to choose from.
And🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤 all sorts of collectibles.
It is a fun place to bring the kids and it is located nearby The Scoop Deck. Make sure you plan a beach run afterward to burn the sugar off…
Next, I stopped at ’sbookstop. A great store where one can find new and used books. I picked up 2 beach read for cottage guests’ to enjoy while on vacation.
I always find time to stop at Anytime Antique&collectibles. It is a multi-vendor shops and one of my favorite stands is pointseaglass. The painted furniture is superb. I had the pleasure to meet the owner last year. All the pieces she paints are wood and she transforms and ordinary night stand into a piece of art.
After a quick stop at Reny's which carries several Maine local products (candies, maple sirup, coffee, jams) as well as Birkenstock sandals, my last stop but not the least was The New England Trading Company. It was my first time and I loved the nautical and beach themed decor they offered. I purchased a small print for the cottage. They also carry Wicked Good Doormats in several colors and sizes. These mats are woven in from lobster rope.
