🌟 Member Spotlight: Rebecca Maloney! 🌟

Tell us about your business and what you do.
For the past two and a half years, I’ve worked alongside two independent wealth advisors, returning to a field I first worked in before Y2K. I’m not a wealth advisor myself—I support the advisors with paperwork, organization, details, and all the behind-the-scenes pieces that keep things moving. My career has taken a few different paths, but there’s always been one common thread: I love caring for and helping people. Today, I get to bring that into my work by building relationships, listening, and making the process a little easier for the people we serve.

What’s one thing people might not guess about you or your job?
My background has much more art and education in it than you might expect! I’ve taught preschool, elementary PE, and middle school art, and I currently serve as Art4Kidz chair for the annual Apple Blossom community art show. While I now work behind the scenes in wealth management, I’ve spent much of my life teaching, creating, organizing, and bringing people together.

What’s your ideal way to spend a day off?
Give me time with my family, something to do in the yard, and a good book, and I’m happy. I’m married with four kids—three adults and one teenager—and I really value our time together. I love this stage of life and appreciating the everyday moments.

What’s your favorite downtown local lunch or coffee spot?
Impossible to name a favorite! I love being downtown, grabbing coffee or a meal, and running into someone I know. That sense of connection and community is one of the things I appreciate most about Wenatchee.

Favorite beverage from the Mercantile coffee bar?
I love seeing the creative new drinks on the board each month, but I know what makes me happy: a simple HWY 20 drip coffee with half and half. Sometimes you just know what you like!

🌟 Member Spotlight: Laney Nelson! 🌟
Tell us about your business and what you do.
Dwelling Design is a luxury, full-service interior design firm creating intentional homes designed to be fully lived in. We believe homes should be places to connect with those you love most, retreat from the busyness of the world, and fully live into your life's purpose. We specialize in full-home furnishing projects and new construction design.

Our team is made up of myself, Laney Nelson - Owner and Principal Designer, Becca Sterk - Procurement Manager, and Amanda Sangster - Designer.

What's something exciting you're working on right now?
We’re underway on a penthouse transformation in Honolulu, Hawaii, where sweeping ocean views meet an interior that’s ready to leave the ’70s behind. Our design direction, Island Refined, captures the warmth, texture, and energy of the islands in a way that feels elevated and timeless, never overly themed or expected. We’ll be back in Honolulu for installation later this year, and we can’t wait to see this project come to life.

What's your ideal way to spend a day off?
The perfect day starts with snuggling my kiddos on the couch with coffee, hopefully without spilling. Then we head to Lake Chelan for boating and water fun. Grab Lakeview fries or Lone Pine milkshakes on the way home then snuggle in for a family movie night. We have a 6, 4, and 1 year old so a lot of chaos occurs throughout this day, but it's the best sort of chaos.

What's a hidden talent or fun fact about you?
I played Division 1 collegiate volleyball. Though I've mostly hung up my playing shoes, I am still crazy competitive when it comes to board games.

What's the best trip you've ever been on?
My husband and I traveled to Ibiza, Madrid, and Barcelona in 2019, and it’s still one of my favorite trips. We buzzed around Ibiza on a moped, ate paella on the beach, and watched world-class flamenco dancers. The only downfall was having to politely decline all the w**e, soft cheeses, and raw fish. You can guess why.
