Our September 2026 General Membership Meeting Charity of the Month Spotlight is Blessings for Barrett!

Born from love, loss, and the desire to ensure no grieving child feels forgotten, Blessings for Barrett is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated specifically to supporting children and teens who have experienced the loss of a sibling. Through free personalized Sibling Comfort Boxes, hospital bags, grief resources, and ongoing support, they provide children and families with comfort, connection, and hope during an incredibly difficult journey. Since beginning their mission in 2023, Blessings for Barrett has already provided support to more than 550 bereaved children across 45 states, reaching families far beyond our local community. Their resources are thoughtfully designed to recognize that children experience and process grief differently and deserve support created specifically with their needs in mind. Founded in memory of Barrett Bone, the organization combines lived experience, professional knowledge, and a whole lot of heart to help grieving siblings know that their feelings matter, their sibling is remembered, and they are not alone. 💛 Through every comfort box, resource, and connection, Blessings for Barrett continues turning one family's love for Barrett into hope and healing for families across the country.

We wrapped up August with another fantastic WSCC Chamber Morning Meet-Up, and PJ's Coffee New Orleans – Lake St. Louis was buzzing with conversation, connections, and plenty of coffee!

Morning Meet-Up is more than just grabbing a cup of coffee before work; it’s an opportunity to show up, share your business, and strengthen the relationships that help our business community grow. 🤝

Each attendee had 45 seconds to introduce themselves, share what’s happening in their business, promote upcoming events, and let fellow Chamber members know how they can connect and support one another. From there, the conversations kept going as members caught up with familiar faces, welcomed new ones, exchanged ideas, and made connections that could lead to the next customer, referral, partnership, or opportunity.

That’s what makes Morning Meet-Up so valuable. You never know who you’re going to meet or where one conversation might lead!

A HUGE thank you to PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans – Lake St. Louis for being such wonderful hosts and keeping our Chamber family fueled with delicious coffee! ☕

🎉 CIVIC CONNECTIONS IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! 🎉

Our inaugural Civic Connections class kicked off its 8-month journey this month, and if Day One was any indication…this is going to be an incredible experience! 👏

So, what exactly is Civic Connections? 🤔 This new WSCC Chamber program was created for professionals who want to go beyond simply working in our community and truly understand it. Over eight months, participants will get an inside look at the people, organizations, industries, and communities shaping our region, all while building meaningful relationships and becoming more informed and engaged community leaders.

📍 First stop: of Dardenne Prairie

We started the day at Dardenne Prairie City Hall, where our class heard directly from the City Administrator, Parks & Recreation Department, and other community leaders about the work happening behind the scenes, current projects and developments, and what’s ahead for the growing community.

Then we hit the road! 🚌 Our driving tour took us throughout Dardenne Prairie to see development firsthand, while learning more about the city's history and how Dardenne Prairie became the community we know today.

And we saved a pretty amazing experience for last! Our group received a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Rawlings facility in Dardenne Prairie, where we learned about the history of the iconic company and got an up-close look at the science, technology, and testing behind their famous baseball equipment. Talk about a home run way to end the day! ⚾🙌

And, of course, a full day of exploring requires a great lunch! 🌮 A huge THANK YOU to – O’Fallon for providing a delicious lunch for our group!

One Civic Connections experience down…and seven more to go! 👀 We can’t wait to show you where this inaugural class heads next and everything they’ll discover along the way.

Our 15th Annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theater was truly one for the books! 🎉

Whether this was your first time joining us or you have supported this event for years, all of us at the WSCC Chamber are incredibly grateful. Thank you to everyone who sponsored, attended, supported, and volunteered at our 2026 production of Red Handed on the High Seas!

Our amazing cast worked tirelessly beginning in May to bring this original production to life. Through their time, talent, heart, and creativity, they transformed into an unforgettable group of characters! Each year, we love bringing mystery, laughter, and suspicious behavior to our audiences, and this year was no exception.
