Could have used some air traffic control at the sugar water feeders this morning... watched a humming bird bump into an Oriole when she made a quick turn mid-flight after she saw a bee eating at the feeder she was heading toward.

The rainbow of birds has begun... just saw a brilliant blue Indigo Bunting, yellow Goldfinch and bright orange Oriole lunching on the goodies (sunflower seed and grape jelly) we put on the deck rail for them. Unfortunately they were too quick for the camera. BUT - here are a couple of cuties ready to join the Welcome HOME B&B prairie flock... These baby robins are in a nest tucked into the clematis vein growing on the B&B.

This evening's concert by spring frogs was accompanied by a Great Horned Owl solo. All of this was enjoyed while surrounded by the fragrance of lilacs. What an unexpected spring treat for our B&B guests!
