Remember the momma with the 2 fawn from spring?

They are almost as big as momma and still love to run and play.

All this, and while it's not audible in this video, we were simultaneously listening to elk bugle up on the mountain.

Farewell and Safe Travels.

Join us in saying farewell to our seasonal help as they head back to Arizona. We really enjoyed, dare I say loved, spending time with Rebecca and Carlotta and look forward to seeing them again.

First flakes!

Earlier when I asked what day we would get our first snow, was the question first flake, or the first measurable amount?

I can't remember.

First, flake was just right now, but you can barely see em.

The creek is always running but after the recent week of rain, it's a lot closer to the bridge.

Pat Daniel Jr, a guest, hiked it today with his son and they estimate it's under 200 yards up the creek bed.
