🌎⚠️ **Earth’s Crust Is On the Move — Is 2026 Different?**
Earth has already experienced **11 magnitude 7.0+ earthquakes in 2026**, with major seismic events occurring across several tectonically active regions.
The latest major event struck **Indonesia on August 15**, with a powerful **magnitude 7.7 earthquake**. Indonesia lies along the **Pacific Ring of Fire**, one of the most earthquake- and volcano-prone regions on Earth.
But the activity doesn’t stop there. Significant earthquakes have also struck areas including **Japan, the Philippines, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, and other parts of the Americas.**
When these earthquakes are mapped globally, many of the epicenters align with major tectonic plate boundaries—where enormous plates are constantly moving, colliding, and sliding beneath one another.
So, is 2026 simply experiencing normal variations in Earth’s seismic activity, or are we witnessing a particularly active year? 🌎
One thing is certain: **the ground beneath our feet is never truly still.**
