💧Keeping Critical Wastewater Infrastructure Flowing in Houston, TX

Holland Pump recently installed two bypass systems at a WWTP in Houston, featuring (4) 12-inch centrifugal pumps, (2) hydraulic submersible pumps, and 1,500 feet of fused HDPE pipe to facilitate the cleaning of critical effluent and mixed liquor lines without disrupting plant operations.

Our Engineered Solutions Team developed a customized bypass strategy to meet the facility's unique flow requirements. One system is currently handling approximately 7 MGD, with the capability to accommodate up to 10 MGD depending on flow fluctuations, while the second system is moving nearly 2 MGD.

Holland Pump's team is installing sock drains for a new residential development, helping lower the water table so the general contractor can move forward with sewer installation, utilities, and other critical site work. With the site benched down, our experienced crews are connecting the sock drains to our pumping systems and creating drier, more stable working conditions.

🚧 Project Spotlight: Sand Pit Dewatering in Fort Myers, FL 🚧

Holland Pump is currently supporting the development of a new sand pit in Fort Myers by providing a customized dewatering solution to lower the groundwater level and allow excavation operations to begin safely and efficiently.

Using our hydraulic submersible pump system, we're drawing down and relocating a significant volume of water into a nearby canal to create the conditions needed for quarry operations. Depending on site requirements, additional dewatering methods such as wellpoint systems or sock drain perimeter systems may also be utilized to keep groundwater at bay throughout the project.

🚧 Holland Pump recently installed a large wellpoint dewatering system utilizing multiple sound-attenuated rotary lobe wellpoint pumps and our portable lamella clarifiers on a major South Florida construction project.

As excavation progresses for the foundation of this large complex, the wellpoints are already becoming exposed. Our lamella clarifiers help clean the groundwater before discharge by removing suspended solids through an efficient settling process, helping contractors meet water quality requirements.

A key advantage of our clarifiers is their quick cleanout design, making them easy to relocate as site conditions change. Unlike larger clarifiers that often stay in one location, our units can be moved around the project to support different phases of construction.
