West Tawakoni City Park - Lake Tawakoni West Tawakoni City Park is located on Lake Tawakoni. Our Beautiful Park Features: Beach, Picnic Pavi It has been dedicated to honoring all veterans.

Our beautiful, 15 plus acre park is nestled on the shores of Lake Tawakoni. The Park is located just north of highway 276 in the middle of town. The park hours of operation are sunrise to sunset daily, with quiet time from 10:00pm to 6:00am for those staying in the park over night. There are 4 pavilions with picnic tables and grills at each site. In addition, the pavilions can be rented out for ou

tdoor activities, such as weddings, reunions, and birthdays. Just about anything you can imagine as an outdoor activity could be a fun time at West Tawakoni City Park. There are numerous picnic tables spread through out the rest of the park. We have space set up for: volleyball, basketball, baseball, soccer and horseshoe pits. A play area for the kids is located where a close eye can be kept on the them as they play. We also have a boat launch and tent camping sites available, along with a fabulous beach area for record catfish and bass fishing, or swimming. A life guard is not in attendance at any time. We have bathrooms in the main park with shower access and regular bathrooms also set up on the point. We have RV space with full hookups available or you can rent one of the parks fully accommodated RVs. In the front of the park is a special memorial to all of our veterans. The park will be CLOSED for the weekend for the safety of all residents and staff. We will reopen the park when temperatures allow for safety at the park.

Due to freezing temperatures, West Tawakoni City Park will close Friday at dusk to ensure everyone's safety. The park will reopen once conditions improve—stay tuned for updates!

Hi everyone!!! We are so excited with the line up of fun happenings at the West Tawakoni “Christmas in the Park” event at the West Tawakoni City Park on Saturday, December 11th, from 5:00-7:00pm. The Grinch will visit from 5:00-6:00. We will light the City Christmas Tree at 5:45. Santa & Mrs. Claus will arrive at 6:00 and will be giving candy canes and goodie bags to the kids. The Tawakoni Volunteer Fire Dept will be there serving free hot chocolate and one of our favorite Friends of the Park, Elizabeth Osborn will be giving out free popcorn. We will announce the Best Holiday Pajamas Contest winners at 6:15 (you must be present to accept the award and prize). There will be a Photo opp for families/friends/groups and a special Photo opp for the young children (beside the playground). There will be a take home craft for the kids. The holiday lights and inflatables will be there for all to enjoy! We invite you to come and join us for some some Christmas Fun!!! Also, our newly remodeled Playground will be open for all to see!!! ❤️🎄💚🎅🏻🤶🏻🍿🍭
