People ask us all the time- “out of all the states you’ve visited, which one is your favorite?!”
We can never name one but we give a short list. Maine is always on it.
For the last three years during the fall, we’ve been privileged to spend time in Maine and it’s never anything short of magic. The people are sweet, the scenery is beautiful, and there is so much to do.
Some highlights exploring Maine:
-Portland
Probably the most diverse town we experienced in Maine. People at the skate park were super inspiring (like 35+ parents dropping into bowls! Talk about bravery 😳)
The Portland Children’s Museum was so much fun with the kids!
-Boothbay
The Coastal Botanical Gardens in had been on my bucket list for years and it did not disappoint. It was SO big and so beautiful and the trolls by Thomas Dambo were so mesmerizing. Highly recommend a visit!
-Bar Harbor
This entire area has completely stole our hearts. We’ve been three times now, camping, sailing, kayaking, hiking, and simply marveling in this beautiful area. Mount Desert Island in particular is absolutely breathtaking.
-Acadia Wilderness Lodge is a stunning luxury glampground AND it’s black owned. Every minute spent here we were in awe. If you can camp here, there’s no way you couldn’t give it 10 stars.
-Acadia National Park has countless magnificent hikes and you could spend weeks here and not see what it all has to offer.
Long story short, Maine is a must visit and I’ll tell it to everyone we meet!
