Owned and Operated by Jerry, Paula, Andy and Rhonda Schutt. The Schutt family purchased the inn in May 2013. Before that Jerry and Paula were farmers and owned/operated a restaurant in Darke County Ohio. Moving to Murphin Ridge Inn their son Andy met and married his wife Rhonda. Together with extended family and employees make the inn the best possible experience you could ever imagine.

Our gift shop just got another amazing addition! We are thrilled to announce that we now have several canvas prints for sale from resident artist Don Paul Kirk!

We are also planning a painting weekend for sometime in January next year, so stayed tuned for more details!

As promised: here is our new fall menu! We will begin this new service for dinner tomorrow. Give us a call and come see us to try some old Murphin Ridge classic recipes and a few new ones that we are excited to share! As always, our soups, salad dressings, and desserts will be made from scratch and on a seasonal rotation.

Stay tuned for our new fall menu- we are rolling it out this weekend, but here is a sneak peak of the new desserts that Sara is whipping up in her laboratory. This is a deconstructed pumpkin roll cake sandwich topped with whipped cream, caramel, and candied pecans - it is amazing but we cannot think of a name for it. Please give us your ideas and help us figure out what to call this glorious desert.

The apples have been the star of the show this fall at Murphin Ridge.

Our Dutch Apple Pie dumplings are made completely from scratch- tender pastry wrapped around warm, cinnamon-spiced apples and baked until golden and delicious and served with vanilla ice cream and house-made caramel sauce.

The fun continues this week with a little more exploring, a little more experimenting, and a whole lot of good food coming out of the kitchen at Murphin Ridge!

Breakfast for our inn guests continues to evolve, with stuffed French toast, baked pumpkin oatmeal, and our new apple compote muffins finished with house-made granola. We also continue to serve the classics like scratch made biscuits and gravy.

If you’re not staying with us, you can still join us around the dinner table.

This week brings velvety pumpkin soup and hearty lentil vegetable soup, plus new sides like sweet corn pudding and tomato-herb rice.

Dinner is by reservation only so give us a call to reserve your table or book a stay!
