The Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of MetroWest is honored to recognize Andy Davis, Director of the Worcester Regional Airport, as the 2026 recipient of the Chamber’s prestigious Lifetime Leadership Award. Throughout the Chamber’s history, this distinction has been awarded to only five extraordinary individuals, and the Chamber proudly adds Andy as the sixth honoree in this remarkable legacy. Andy will retire this July after nearly 18 years of leadership at Worcester Regional Airport and an impressive 44 year career in the aviation industry. Under Andy’s leadership, Worcester Regional Airport has welcomed more than 1.9 million passengers and strengthened partnerships with JetBlue, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines. His tenure included over $120 million in Massport funded improvements, including an enhanced instrument landing system, expanded parking, two new jet bridges, and a larger TSA checkpoint—transformations that significantly improved reliability and passenger experience. Beyond infrastructure, Andy has been a steadfast supporter of the Central Massachusetts and MetroWest communities. He has served on the boards of the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of MetroWest, Worcester Regional Chamber, Worcester Research Bureau, and Discover Central Mass, while championing youth engagement through internships and the Aviation Explorers program. Perhaps the truest reflection of Andy’s leadership is his hands on spirit—like this past winter, when travelers found him personally helping shovel snow from their cars. His legacy is one of service, humility, and unwavering dedication.

The Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of MetroWest is proud to honor Harry's Restaurant in Westborough as the 2026 recipient of the Chamber’s Business Icon Award. Accepting the award were Jeanine Sander and Sue Ryan, general managers of the restaurant. Celebrating an extraordinary 80 years in business, Harry’s is more than a local landmark—it is a beloved gathering place woven into the very fabric of the Westborough community. The story of Harry’s began in 1946, when Harry Cohen, a Worcester house painter, reinvented his career after a diabetes diagnosis made climbing ladders impossible. With entrepreneurial grit, he rented a small shack on Route 9 in Shrewsbury and opened Harry’s Famous Hot Pastrami. In true painter fashion, Harry lined up slices of rye bread and used a real paintbrush to apply mustard—an origin story as iconic as the restaurant itself. His pastrami sandwiches quickly became legendary, as did the hand‑cut onion rings made with a seven‑step batter recipe still used today. As lines grew, Harry expanded the menu to include fried clams, fish and chips, scallops, and more—each item hand‑painted on Venetian blinds that flipped between day and evening menus. In 1968, Harry’s moved to its now‑famous home on Route 9 in Westborough, adding diner classics, frappes, hot fudge sundaes, and the cherished dairy bar enjoyed by generations. Today, Harry’s remains proudly family‑owned, led by Jon Cohen, who has carried forward the tradition of quality and community since 1985. Over the decades, Harry’s has even welcomed notable visitors, from The Platters to Paula Abdul. In an era when many longtime establishments have closed, Harry’s enduring success stands as a testament to resilience, consistency, and deep community roots. It is truly a Business Icon in every sense. Photo credit: Prentice Visual Media

Congratulations to UniBank MA the 2026 recipient of the Community Leader of the Year award from the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of MetroWest. UniBank’s story begins in 1870, when Central Massachusetts was a region on the rise. Canals were being dug, railroads were expanding, and Worcester’s industrial growth was accelerating. Families—both longtime residents and new immigrants—relied on their community bank for stability, opportunity, and trust. For 155 years, UniBank has remained steadfast in that mission, proving that true community banking is built on relationships, not transactions. Today, UniBank stands as the largest bank headquartered in Central Massachusetts and a 12 time winner of the Worcester Business Journal’s “Best Bank for Business”. Their philosophy is simple and powerful: keep operations local, keep decisions local, and keep giving back to the community that built them. And give back they do. In the past year alone, UniBank contributed more than $800,000 in grants and sponsorships, supporting over 400 local organizations, many of them nonprofits. Through the UniBank Charitable Foundation, an additional $371,000 was awarded to organizations making a meaningful difference across our region. Their employees embody this commitment as well. UniBank staff volunteer with 65 organizations, teach 12 financial literacy seminars, and support essential programs such as the Community Harvest Project, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, and the United Way. One of the most inspiring examples of their service came in 2025, when 48 UniBank volunteers served 720 meals at Peace of Bread—a powerful demonstration of community leadership in action. UniBank has been a valued Chamber member for 18 years, supporting our signature events, high impact networking programs, and our School/Business Partnership Golf Tournament, which funds scholarships for local high school seniors. Congratulations to Gaudette Insurance Agency, Inc. as the recipient of the 2026 Large Business award from the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of MetroWest. Gaudette Insurance is more than a successful business—it is a remarkable family story that spans four generations. Their journey began in 1926 with founder Roy Gaudette, a young man who refused to let polio define the boundaries of his life. With determination and a vision for serving others, Roy opened the first Gaudette Insurance office near Grafton Common, writing auto policies for friends and neighbors. His early success inspired his younger brother, Gerry Gaudette Sr., to open a second agency in Northbridge. Both flourished, and after Roy’s passing in the late 1930s, the two agencies merged, laying the foundation for the company we know today. In 1962, Gerry Gaudette Jr. joined his father and helped propel the agency into a period of tremendous growth throughout the Blackstone Valley. By the 1980s, Gaudette Insurance had become the largest insurance firm in the region and a respected leader within the Massachusetts independent insurance community. The third generation arrived in 1990 when Lee Gaudette joined the agency. With strong academic credentials and a passion for the business, Lee rose to president in 1999. Under his leadership, Gaudette expanded into the Corridor 9/495 region, opened new offices, and successfully doubled revenues. Today, the fourth generation is stepping forward. Peter Gaudette is actively involved in business development and cohosts the Gaudette Insurance Radio Show alongside his father. Serving more than 1,000 businesses across Central Massachusetts, Gaudette Insurance has earned national recognition as a Best Practices Agency and received the prestigious Five Star Award of Distinction. It is with tremendous pride that the Chamber honors Gaudette Insurance Agency as they celebrate 100 years of trusted service, impressive growth, and a legacy that truly sets them apart. Congratulations to Scott Rancourt, CEO of Proforma Elite Sourcing, as the recipient of the 2026 Ambassador of the Year award by the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of MetroWest. Professionally, Scott brings more than 30 years of expertise in the print and promotional products industry. As part of the Proforma family, he has built a reputation for delivering best in class solutions in print, direct mail, and branded promotional products. His business acumen alone is impressive—but what he has brought to our Chamber community is truly exceptional. Scott has been a Chamber member for just over a year, and from the moment he joined, he jumped in with both feet or what we refer to as “drinking the Chamber Kool Aid.” He participates in everything. His level of involvement hasn’t just been enthusiastic; it has been transformative. By fully engaging in our networking events and programs, he has built powerful relationships that have generated over $35,000 in sales, opened doors to new referrals, expanded his network of advocates, and significantly elevated his business visibility. He is a living example of what happens when you activate the power of the Chamber. What truly sets Scott apart is his extraordinary volunteer spirit. As a Chamber Ambassador, he has adopted 16 new members, guiding each one through their benefits, coaching them on the value of active engagement, and making intentional introductions that help them feel welcomed from day one. And he didn’t stop there with his volunteer support. Over the past year, Scott has personally recruited seven new businesses to join our organization, directly contributing to the Chamber’s growth and vitality.

Congratulations to Intellestate Law, LLC as the 2026 recipient of the Small Business Award of the Year from the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of MetroWest. Jason Toomey, founder of Intellestate Law, is a standout in every sense of the word. A summa cm laude graduate of New England Law | Boston, Jason finished first in his class and earned an extraordinary ten CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. His academic focus spanned Estate Planning, Intellectual Property, and Business Law—fields that would later become the foundation of his practice. With a degree in Electrical Engineering, Jason is also a registered Patent and Trademark Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Before launching his own firm, he spent nearly 15 years leading patent prosecution for a Boston tech startup, where he built and managed a portfolio of more than 300 patents. His expertise was undeniable, but his next chapter would prove even more remarkable. In 2024, Jason opened Intellestate Law in Northborough and immediately joined the Chamber. His first Chamber experience was the Member Success Orientation. He arrived early, sat in the front row, and was warmly encouraged by our Chamber President to move to the back of the room to begin networking. Jason openly admitted that networking wasn’t something he naturally gravitated toward—but that moment changed everything. From that day on, Jason embraced the Chamber with full force and learned the formula for networking success: show up, engage, and build relationships with intention. Beyond the Chamber, Jason leads estate planning workshops, creates educational content, and continually expands his reach. The results speak loudly: 300% business growth in one year, two full time hires, and a rapidly growing regional presence—an extraordinary example of small business growth in action.
