2 bedroom cabins include a kitchenette and a private bath. All cabins are fully furnished, have cozy and quiet surroundings with gorgeous views. Walking distance to the famous Rainbow Trail to the high country in addition to the Venable and Comanche Trail Heads. Excellent dinner restaurant and lounge

Nearby: hiking, fishing, climbing, hunting, mountain biking, and photography of wildlife and wild flowers. San Isabel National Forest includes acres of beautiful landscape with snow capped mountain tops, spring wild flowers, autumn colors, crystal clear mountain lakes, and clear blue skies to enjoy.

Thank you SO SO MUCH to everyone who came out from near and far to celebrate Richard's retirement yesterday! It was truly a wonderful party with a great turnout, so many friends and family members, endless memories and stories to speak of, many many laughs had, and so much love shared!
Thank you all for making it such a special night, and here's to the next adventure!!!

THE HISTORIC ALPINE LODGE IS CLOSING!!
To the countless family, staff, friends, and customers around the county, state, and across the nation - it is bittersweet to report that The Historic Alpine Lodge will be closing for business the end of June 2025. We are currently under contract to sell the property due to many reasons; first and foremost it is time for me to retire. The countless long days and hours have taken a toll on a once pretty vibrant (I hope many will agree) man who is now in his 70's and ready to give up the endless cooking, lodging business, and the long hours that I have been so fortunate and blessed to provide to a wonderful community, state, country, and I dare say, international customers. In addition, taxes, insurances and other rising costs are making it almost impossible for any small business in a rural area to continue to open their doors. I am not complaining just telling the facts as I have experienced them over the past 18 years.

I have been blessed beyond words to work beside, and with, numerous family members and wonderful staff members from the beginning. It has been my pleasure to work with and serve many individuals and groups from within our community and beyond. We have always tried to provide the best experience possible for all our guests. I realize we have not always gotten everything correct and I may not always have been the easiest person to get along with, but we have always put our best foot forward and been respectful, and for that I will always be eternally grateful. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart!!!

Come stay with us anytime, we love company!!! All cabins include two bedrooms, each with a Queen size bed. Full kitchenette complete with refrigerator, freezer, stove top, oven, microwave, coffee pot and toaster; pots, pans, cooking and dining utensils. Separate bathroom and stand up shower. All bedroom and bathroom linens provided, and a DVD player connected to a small TV. No cable, but a DVD selection to borrow on site, or bring your own favorites!
The Alpine Lodge Restaurant is right across the parking lot, now open for dine in and take out Thurs-Sun! Due to limited seating, reservations are required for dine in. Quick and easy access to the Rainbow, Veneble, and Commanche Trailheads, and steps away from Alvarado Campground. Cabins are Dog friendly. Dog Fee $10 per night per dog. Cabins sleep 2-4 most comfortably. Our cabins are cleaned and sanitized from top to bottom for the safety of our guests.
