🍽️ WE WANT TO BUILD A COMMUNITY KITCHEN — AND WE’RE LOOKING FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BUILD IT WITH US.
We are working toward an onsite commercial kitchen in the heart of Westcliffe, with a bigger goal in mind:
Create a resource that helps small food businesses and food entrepreneurs grow in the Wet Mountain Valley.
We’re looking for a small group of local food makers, bakers, chefs, caterers, farmers, entrepreneurs, event creators, and community-minded people as Founding Members behind this vision. This is not the typical fundraising. As a Founder, you are pooling funds with several others to build something we all need. All without taking out loans, or applying for time consuming grants, or begging for angel investors. The larger the group, the lower the total funds we each need to provide. Instead of $, maybe you can come with a commercial refrigerator or maybe you can come with the electrical or tiling skills. We are open to all ideas.

You might be a fit if you are:
• A baker, chef, caterer or food producer
• A farmer or local food maker
• Someone with a food product you want to develop
• A food truck, pop-up or cottage-food entrepreneur that needs a commissary kitchen
• An event host or culinary experience creator
• A small business owner who needs a commercial kitchen occasionally
• Someone dreaming about starting a food business
• A community member who believes Westcliffe needs more opportunities for local food entrepreneurs

This is bigger than a kitchen.
It’s about creating more opportunities for small businesses, more experiences for our community, and another reason to invest in the place we call home.
Let’s build something together, because I can't do this alone and frankly, I want to do this with others.
🌱 WHAT FOUNDERS GET
Founders will have the opportunity to be among the first people with use of the kitchen and invited to participate in the kitchen's programs, events, rentals and future opportunities.
Although we would gladly accept any donations, that is not what we are looking for. We are not looking for loans and going further into debt.
We're looking for people willing to collaborate, fund, and build a kitchen they can use. We have the location, but we need collaboration to build something many of us need.
