Hospitable Host interviews today. I had the privilege of interviewing Airbnb powerhouse, Kat Pape. She has unique properties in Seattle and Spokane. She is an inspiration to others looking to get into short term rentals!

Her best advice was that you can't please everyone, and it's so true! I sometimes lose heart with reviews that criticize the way I've chosen to furnish the property. I am a minimalist and it shows in my home and my Airbnb space. I recently got some negativity about the 'coldness' of the space...but where another person sees artwork, throw rugs and quilts... I might see clutter. I can't please everyone and although my ratings are typically 5 stars...those 4 star ones always get to me. Thank you Kat for encouraging me and reminding me that I can't always please everyone!
