Our last sunset over the Douro River in Porto 🌥
The Rabelo boat is a popular sight and symbolic part of this region’s history ⚓️
For centuries these vessels were used to carry barrels of Porto wine from the Douro valley vineyards to the Port Wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.
➡️One of the interesting things we learned is you won’t find the Rabelo boat anywhere else in the world and if you’re lucky to plan a visit on June 24th they hold a huge celebration and regatta every year 🇵🇹✨

✈️Somehow my daughter managed to get in one more adventure before heading back to college...Her first plane trip was at 6 weeks old and watching her and her brothers grow into such independent hungry world travelers is a complete joy 💛

We have found a few different variations throughout the city but this iconic sandwich usually comes layered with ham, sausage, bacon, steak and topped with an egg covered in a thick beer and cheese sauce. 💯DELICIOUS!!
