Kara is back

Guess who’s back?

Kara, the 16-foot great white shark, has resurfaced off the coast of Rockaway Beach. She was detected around 4 a.m. this morning after previously leaving the area in January and traveling south to California, where she spent about a month near Eureka.

Kara was originally tagged in October 2025 by Keith Poe. Now the adult great white has returned to the same stretch of Oregon coastline once again.
