You may ask,”What’s a crab derby?”
Kelly’s Brighton Marina will release 26 tagged crabs on Saturday, June 1. Top prize is $1000 cash! A $10 per ticket per entry fee is required to participate in the crab derby 🦀 with proceeds from tickets sales going to sponsored charities. They chose one of my favorites, Animal Haven by the Sea Rescue.

Mark Your Calendars! Nehalem Bay Crab Derby – Saturday, June 1st At Kelly’s Brighton Marina

Come grab your favorite spot on the dock or hop in your boat as early as 6am. Tagged crabs will be released at 9am. $10 entry fee. Catch a tagged crab and have a chance to win $1,000! All proceeds from entry fees, raffles, and silent auction go to our local charities: MuddNick Foundation and Animal Haven By the Sea.

Come to Kelly’s Marina for a day full of games and crafts~ oyster eating contests, crab shell painting, buoy tossing, and more!! Seaside Aquarium will be there along with: Debbie the Olive Lady, MirAnnda with Sugar + Air (gourmet cotton candy), and Katie with Soapy Succulents!

We will end the derby at 5pm with winners being announced at 5:30p. Remember to stay and rock out with the LIVE MUSIC at 6pm~ we are excited to welcome back the band “Uncle Jerry” from Cannon Beach! (Shout out to Mike at Michael’s Music)
