Super bright full moon. Almost looks like the sun. IYKYK!

26 August 2026. 7:30 PM. 82 degrees. High was 89 with a low of 68 degrees. Wind is from the SSE at 6 MPH. Humidity at 73 degrees. Perfect pier weather. Two pairs of kayakers paddling by. Other than that, all you hear is the sound of the water against the pier. Don’t want to but I’ve got to go mow some more. Nice break while it lasted.

30 July 2026. 11:45 PM. 73 degrees. Wind from the West at 3 MPH. Feels chilly. Unusually quiet tonight. Even with the light pollution, you can still see the stars. Definitely see the moon at 98% full.
Glorious weather compared to just a few days ago. It will be August before you know it. Still plenty of time to get in a few days of rest and relaxation. Give us a call!

The water has been low at White Lake before. Here is an article from the Wilmington Morning Star Newspaper dated December 5th 1980. The man in the photo was my father.

I had worked at the motel that summer prior to reporting for basic training at Ft Jackson in September. My mother had mailed this article to me while in basic and I stumbled across it the other night going through some old mail I had saved.

Anyway, the lake levels returned to normal and I’m pretty sure it will again.

I was working earlier and missed the strawberry color at moonrise.
