The smoke is in full force! Make sure to take precautions and stay safe! Check out the air quality conditions below! 👇🏼

Smoke is no joke!

Smoke from regional wildfires is affecting air quality in the park. Before you head to Glacier, make sure to:

✅ Monitor air quality and smoke forecasts.
✅ Assess your own sensitivity to poor air quality, and the sensitivity of others in your group.
✅ Adjust outdoor activities as needed.

Find out current air quality conditions at https://fire.airnow.gov

Are you thinking about biking Going-to-the-Sun Road? If you are take a look at these tips and enjoy your ride safely! 🌅🚵

🚵‍♀️Biking Going‑to‑the‑Sun Road? Safety comes first.

Watch for ranger and shuttle traffic along Going‑to‑the‑Sun Road. The road is being shared with administrative vehicles operated by park rangers, concessionaires, and park partners while preparations continue to open Logan Pass for the summer.

Bicyclists in the park must obey the same rules and regulations that apply to motorized vehicles.

🛣️Ride Smart & Follow the Rules

• While administrative traffic is occurring, visitors must keep well to the right of the roadway in a single file line.

• Bicyclists must use pull-outs to allow traffic to pass when they are available and must pull off the road, coming to a complete stop, when four or more cars have stacked up behind them.

• During low visibility and between sunset and sunrise, bicyclists must display a white light or reflector on the front and a red light or reflector on the rear.

• Traffic may appear at any time; stay alert and visible.

• Always wear a helmet when riding a bicycle.

• Electric bicycles (e-bikes) are allowed if the motor is less than 750 watts (1 hp) and engaged only while pedaling. Illegal or improperly used e‑bikes put riders and others at risk.

🚙Parking Reminder

If you’re biking or hiking Going-to-the-Sun Road before it opens to motorized vehicles, only park in designated parking spaces.

• No parking on vegetation

• No parking on the roadway

• No double‑parking

Improper parking damages fragile resources and blocks access for emergency and administrative vehicles.
