Henry planned a surprise proposal for Rileigh at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake on a windy spring evening in Whitefish.

There were storm clouds over the lake, a few sprinkles of rain, and even some lightning in the distance.

Henry and Rileigh had dinner reservations at The Boat Club, but first they headed down to the docks to enjoy the view and have a drink by the lake.
What Rileigh didn’t know was that Henry was about to propose.

Spring is usually a pretty quiet time around Whitefish Lake, and the weather made the docks even quieter. The only people out there were a couple fishing nearby and me pretending to be a tourist while waiting for the big moment. 😄

When Rileigh turned around for a photo overlooking Whitefish Lake, Henry got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

She said YES! 💍

Afterward, we explored the grounds of for photos, enjoyed some incredible skies, and wrapped up the evening with a canoe ride that got a little more exciting than expected.
