Right after the Hurricane did damage to our town....we had a beautiful wedding reception for Caitye and Josh Shelly ....it was very different....everyone seemed so happy that this took place, when it seemed it couldn't happen! We had the Bride, her mom, and a bridesmaid stay with us during the storm as well as a lot of other guests that were here for different reasons. We have learned, that never say "never" as God tells us to reach out and TRY.....and he helps us through it....Congratulations to the Bride and Groom!

We have one of the Garden Clubs from North Myrtle Beach up here today, eating lunch and enjoying The Madison House. What a treat to be able to show off the house and grounds to such beautiful people. I wish more clubs would come by to see us.

We entertained with a buffet Brunch last Sunday for Jack and Carrie Rising....CONGRATULATIONS AND MAY YOU HAVE 50 more. What beautiful people as well as Daughter, Tonya who hosted the event! Everyone seemed to have a great time seeing relatives and friends.

If you passed by THE MADISON HOUSE this afternoon, you saw some beautiful girls in lovely prom dresses with some pretty spiffy guys all getting their pictures taken by Studio2120 from Hickory, N. C. .....then they came inside and ate a very tasty dinner of baked chicken breast and mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, green beens, salad w/ dressing, cheesecake with rasberry glaze. It is always exciting to see lovely young people...........

Whee...........We have been very busy this weekend!!!! Had a private dinner party honoring a guest Doctor and wife this past Friday night.....then, we had a Bridal Luncheon next day and then a Cotillion Reception honoring some beautiful young ladies last night. We always enjoy seeing all the beautiful dresses, etc. and the "Hairdo"s and all the handsome escorts!!!

We had a Bridal Shower this past weekend, January 30th! Everyone enjoyed wonderful refreshments and gifts, galore!
Now, we are looking forward to this next weekend of WOW's entertainers stay here at THE MADISON HOUSE!

Well..........we have had our last party today before Christmas...and even tho, I am a little happy, there is a "bit" of sadness in my heart. I miss some of the "oldies" yet good parties, ...as they have left us to enjoy HEAVENLY gatherings-------but the memories will never leave.
One of my favorite parties was my next door neighbor's family party always....."just before Christmas"!!!! They had so much fun after their meal playing their games.

What a pleasure to have had my two sons, daughter-in-law, and one grand-daughter home for THANKSGIVING to work on the decorating of The Madison House. It is an awesome, yet rewarding job, and I get to enjoy it about 3 weeks. The surprise that I am experiencing is that, I DIDN'T KNOW that they could do it....been thinking...................they DID learn something when they were younger, or what???? I have some talented guys for sons!
Even tho my daughter didn't get to come Thanksgiving....she is just as talented in so many other ways. Her House Plans (that she creates for clients) astonish me....where in the world did they get talent like this??????
