we are open and waiting for ya’ll to come camp with us. We have several RV full hookup sites available for full time permanents starting from 550 a month and some seasonal sites left and of course we always will have daily sites available at our low cost pricing from 45.00 a night.

Our Story

In 1999, a scenic drive through Whittier, NC inspired Cindy and Andre to pull over and set up camp permanently. Since then, they’ve restored Fort Wilderness RV Park into the beautiful reflection of Smoky Mountain wilderness that it is today. The duo and their family work hard to make sure every guest feels welcome in the park they call home. They provide traditional family-style camping as well as modern amenities, which make any stay -- whether it’s one night or several -- perfect for all types of vacationers. Settle into one of our 130 spaces accommodating both RVs and tents or rent a standard or deluxe cabin or RV. Travelers from all over the world will find Fort Wilderness a peaceful place to experience North Carolina nature, relax in a rustic cabin, and connect with a community of like-minded nature nuts.
