September 2nd, 2023 is the 11th Annual Willcox Flyer Bike Ride. Riders will meet and the beautiful Railroad Park in Historical Down Town Willcox. The ride starts at 7am and will go till 12pm. Riders can ride 8, 33 or 66 miles through rolling hills and open rangeland.

Also on September 2nd, starts the Apple Harvest Celebration out at the Apple Annie's orchard. Come out to Willcox and have some apple pancakes and apple doughnuts and so very awesome cider.. Yumm! If you have time, swing out to the Apple Annie's Farm for some U-Pick vegetables.

Due to the dry lightning in the Southeastern Arizona Area, wild land fires can occur. Currently there is one in the Dragoon Mountains west of the hotel about 20 minutes. If any evacuations are to happen, the Days Inn has parking adjacent to the hotel where trucks with trailers can park. We have rooms available and the parking is free.

We have some long-awaited good news...the hiker shuttle is up and running once again!

Our shuttle service is provided daily by staff for hikers. It provides easy access to some of the most beautiful areas of the monument and a hike that is mostly downhill. Visitors are taken to either Echo Canyon or Massai Point trailheads and walk back down to their vehicle on their own.

Registration is required IN PERSON at the Visitor Center either the day before or morning of the ride. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis and shuttle capacity is 14 people.

The shuttle departs from Faraway Ranch parking lot at 9:00 am and the Bonita Canyon Campground restrooms at 9:10 am. Currently, masks are required to ride. Staff will have masks available if you need one.

Looking for a few cyclists to be on film riding in Willcox on October 12th! Cochise County board of Tourism has a film crew and looking for subjects to ride part of the Flyer route. They will meet at Railroad Ave park at 8am - filming will last 2-3 hours. The more the merrier! Big Tex has closed for the week. It is to give their employees the time off with their families.

Closed June 6th through June 12th to allow all our hardworking employees to take vacation with family.
