Please join us in welcoming Kyra Lee to her new role as Commercial Strategy Manager with Newport Hospitality Group.

A recent Virginia Tech graduate with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Kyra’s Newport journey began in 2024 as a Sales Coordinator supporting Hyatt Place Blacksburg / University and Residence Inn by Marriott Blacksburg-University while completing her studies. Through hard work, curiosity, and a passion for creating exceptional experiences, she has grown into this exciting new role supporting multiple hotels and markets.

It has been a month at Newport. We opened Comfort Inn & Suites Orlando Sanford Airport with owners and partners on May 14. The Hilton Garden Inn - Savannah Airport team earned a Q1 Shining Apple Award. And Tom Johnson, Houseperson and Driver at Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Valley Forge/Collegeville, was named one of just five 2025 Apple Award recipients across all of Apple Hospitality.
