Every corner of the Ripple Quarter whispers comfort. Named for John Ripple, Elmwood’s second landowner, this room carries history and heart in every detail—from the oatland-inspired walls to the handmade floral curtains swaying in the breeze.

Perched on the second floor of our restored 1855 farmhouse, this sunny retreat features original yellow pine floors, a cozy farm-style queen bed, and a 5-foot clawfoot tub that practically begs for a soak after your stroll on the nearby C&O Canal.

“I spent a week biking the GAP and C&O Canal trail last June, and of all the places I stayed, this was far and away the best. Muddy from the trail, they washed my bike and did my laundry. Great breakfast, a ride to and from the trail, a beautiful farm setting, and absolutely delightful hosts. What’s not to like?”

We are so thankful for guests who join us during special weekends like the Spring Fair and take the time to really enjoy the farm and the local community.

“I chose this past weekend because of the Spring Fair and had a wonderful visit with my husband. The fair had something for everyone and featured mostly local vendors. The alpacas added such a lovely feel to the beautiful farm setting. Lettie and Selena were also helpful with recommendations for places to go and eat.”
