Ask anyone who lives on Lake Conroe and they'll tell you: October is the one worth waiting for.

The water is still warm enough to swim, and the air finally isn't. Mornings start with mist lifting off the cove, the bass move shallow and the dock fills up with fishing poles. The sunsets come early enough to catch every one.
