Moon Dipping Below
This morning over Lake Huron, which is frozen over close to shore, featuring ice hummocks peaking over the horizon as the moon sinks below it. This was taken near Boiler Beach in Kincardine.
The first few photos in today's series are gorgeous shades of sapphire and azure as they were taken during blue hour; this image is much warmer in colour as the sun rose in the opposite direction and the moon blushed as it kissed the horizon. The atmospheric distortion makes the moon a squishy marshmallow, not quite round, but full of awe-worthy beauty nonetheless.
