My, Once in a life time project and opportunity is now ready for her next family. Totally bitter sweet. But I will be forever grateful for the chance to be apart of this architectural master pieces' history!! I will never do another project as fantastic as this one!!! Never hesitate to dream! Look who got lost!! For four days we thought Mittens only had 3 kittens..but this morning when working in the yard heard meowing coming from under the collapsed barn. We were able to coax this little one out and momma came running. Maybe that's why she was clawing at the windows last few days . She lost a baby and needed help🥰

"This is now my life with you " direct quote from my husband last night when he picked these out of my cup holder for a different project we are currently working on. He has a few times the last few months refered to himself as my Chip😅 and Im his Johanna. Lol ( although our skills and talents I'm sure are far inferior to theirs)

Never in a million years did I expect this shift in our lives. Some years I wanted it other I knew better to even think of it. But now.. I find it perfect (although challenging) timing. Pretty sure God knew what roadblocks and detors to put in our paths to help us both grow and get to this point in our journey where we not only raise a family together but now work together 24/7.

And although the tower may soon be moving on to its next family and chapter, I will miss this house, but not be disappointed I couldn't keep it. In fact I am grateful. Because this house through financial, clerical, political struggle,blood sweat and tears brought me and my husband closer on so many levels.

So for all who supported and encouraged thank you. And if you want to keep following jump over to our new large endeavor. Not 100 % sure what it will look like but we have some budding ideas. When Pigs Fly Farms aptly named by the kids.

For a real update on the towerhouse. It will be going on the market in August so spread the word. I know her next family is out there and I may cry when I had over keys to whomever that may be but those tears will be filled with so much mixed emotion and disappointment wont be one if them.

Because asparagus season is here, we thought we'd share one of our favorite ways to eat it.

Asparagus Stir Fry featuring ginger infused honey
2 t. cornstarch
2 t. ginger infused honey
6 T. chicken broth
2 T. soy sauce
1 ½ pounds of boneless chicken breasts, cut into strips
8 fresh asparagus, cut into 2 1/2 in. pieces
1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
1 c. snow peas
1 can water chestnuts
1/4 t. garlic
1 T. oil
In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch, ginger infused honey, broth, and soy sauce until well blended; set aside.
In a small skillet or wok, add 1 t. oil and stir fry the chicken until the chicken is completely cooked through and the juices run clear when cut, about 5 minutes. With a spoon, remove the chicken to a plate and set aside. Add remaining oil and stir fry the asparagus, mushrooms, snow peas, and garlic until crisp-tender. Stir cornstarch mixture and add to the pan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
Other tasty additions include onions and peppers.
