Trout Landing Cottage at Whiteface Mountain

The slightly revised course for the 2020 edition of the Lake Placid Loppet has been finalized and re-signed out on the trails for you to preview. Although most of the course follows the original route, the following changes were made to retain the 25km distance with the loss of the Ladies 5k outer loop:
- The race will begin by heading up Main Street, turning left onto East Hill Express, and then descending East Hill to return to the Loppet Cutover.
- Upon reaching the map board on East Mountain, the course will continue on East Mountain and do a 180 just before reaching the skate start to ski Innerloopen BACKWARDS.
-Course will switch to the biathlon side over the bridge with flags
-course will return to the xc side via the outer tube

Tragic story... The Flume is a terrific swimming hole but please be aware of just how dangerous these waters can be. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
