Wild Turkey Inn Nestled where nature still whispers and time slows, the Wild Turkey Inn is more than a place to rest — it’s a sanctuary for awakening.

Each room is a sacred teaching, holding the medicine of the elements, the directions, and the wisdom of spirit. A Peaceful Escape for the Heart and Soul
Step into a sanctuary where history and nature intertw**e. Wake to birdsong and sunlight filtering through the trees. Wander the grounds, trace the circle of the medicine wheel, or simply breathe beneath a vast night sky filled with stars. Built in 1915 and lovingly renewed since 1998, this intimate inn carries the warmth of a lived-in home and the soul of a historic retreat. Each of our seven healing rooms holds its own energy — inspired by the four directions, the five elements, and a blend of modern comfort and timeless wisdom. Two shared spa-style baths add a touch of indulgence, while the home’s ongoing restoration preserves its authentic beauty. Every corner tells a story of wellness, transformation, and care. Stroll the medicine wheel garden for reflection, or enjoy the expansive park just across the street. About 12 miles away, you’ll find local restaurants and a small grocery — though many guests prefer to bring their own snacks or a bottle of w**e and simply sink into the quiet. A getaway to relax, unplug, and reset.

✨ MEET THE DETAILS | Meet Jax, the Astronaut of the Hallway! 🚀

At Wild Turkey Inn Wellness Center, even the smallest details have a little meaning behind them.

Meet Jax, our little astronaut who stands guard in the bathroom hallway, transforming the ceiling into a beautiful galaxy of stars, colors, and swirling light.

Jax is a fun little reminder that sometimes we need to look beyond what's right in front of us and remember that we're part of something much bigger than we realize.

Different perspective. Bigger possibilities. 🌌

Because sometimes a little wonder is good for the soul. ❤️

🖤 Behind the Inn: The Old Boiler Gauge

Sometimes the history of an old house is hiding in the basement.

This is the original gauge from the original boiler system at the Wild Turkey Inn. When the house was built in 1915, homes like this could be heated by a central boiler that heated water or produced steam, which then traveled through pipes to radiators throughout the house.

And if you've followed our Behind the Inn posts, you've already seen one of those beautiful old radiators upstairs. Now you get to see part of what once made the whole system work.

What makes this piece even more interesting is the name on the face: Cornell-Searl Co., Lincoln, Nebraska. I did a little digging and found Cornell's history in Nebraska records going back to this same era. State documents show Cornell-Wigman-Searl Co. doing business in Lincoln by at least 1912 and supplying plumbing materials in Nebraska during the 1910s. Later records show Cornell-Searl continuing to supply equipment and materials in the state.

More than a century later, the original boiler is gone, but this old gauge survived. This is what happens when you start cleaning the basement. 😂

I love finding pieces like this because they tell us something about the people who lived here before us. Long before thermostats and modern heating systems, someone depended on that boiler to keep this big old house warm through a Nebraska winter. And holy cow, how heavy that stuff was! Seriously.

And somewhere along the way, somebody (me) had the good sense not to throw this away.

Now it gets to become part of the story again. ❤️

Historic charm. Modern comfort. And 111 years of stories tucked into the most unexpected places.

Our first annual Fire, Flowers & Flow was a success… although I realized I actually could have called it Food, Flow, Fire & Flowers. Maybe next year. 😂

A small, intimate group gathered at the Wild Turkey Inn for an evening of reflection, connection, and a little bit of magic.

We began by setting an intention to let go of the beliefs, emotions, patterns, roles, or stories that are no longer serving us as we move forward. Stories were shared, giving others the opportunity to learn, understand, and sometimes see their own experiences a little differently.

Then we shifted into what we want to create.

Each person chose flowers that spoke to them and created a beautiful bouquet to take home as a reminder of what they want to nurture, manifest, and become more conscious of in their daily lives.

I used to love making flower arrangements when I was younger, so it was really nice to do that again.

I could not have done it without the support of everyone who came and brought their own unique energy, experiences, and gifts to the evening.

I also finally got to try out the new chairs, and yes, they were great. The weather was beautiful, the energy was high, the fire was smoking hot, and it turned into exactly the kind of gathering I envisioned for the Inn.

A very special thank you to Blooms Flowers and Designs in Cambridge, Nebraska, for the beautiful loose flowers that made our flower bar possible, and SmallCakes Cupcakery in Kearney for the delicious cupcakes.

We ended the evening gathered around the fire under the stars.

It was a spectacular night. 🤍

What are you ready to stop carrying?

Sometimes we don’t need another answer.

We need a little space to get quiet enough to hear ourselves again.

On September 19, I’m opening the Wild Turkey Inn for a small, intimate evening of Fire, Flowers & Flow.

We’ll gather by the fire, share w**e and light bites, slow down for a guided practice, and take a moment to notice what we may be ready to release.

You’ll have an opportunity to place that intention into the fire - privately, without having to explain it to anyone if you choose.

Then we shift.

From what you’re releasing…to what you’re ready to welcome.

At the Heart Compass Flower Bar, you’ll choose flowers intuitively the colors, textures, and blooms you’re naturally drawn toward and create a bouquet to take home.

Only after you’ve chosen them will we explore what those flowers may represent for you.

There will also be space for conversation, laughter, connection, and simply enjoying a beautiful September evening at the Inn.

This isn’t a class.

It isn’t a retreat.

And you don’t need to arrive with anything figured out.

Just come as you are.

🏡 BEHIND THE INN | If This Radiator Could Talk...

One of my favorite things about owning a house built in 1915 is that pieces of its history are still tucked into places you might walk right past.

Take the old hot-water radiator in our upstairs hallway. At one time, radiators like this weren't vintage décor - they were simply how you kept a big old house in Nebraska warm when winter decided to show up.

Today, it's one of those details I left and love because it reminds me that generations of people have walked this hallway before us. Different families, different lives, different stories...and this old radiator was here for a whole lot of them.

Restoring Wild Turkey Inn has never been about making an old house look new. It's about keeping some of the character and history that make it special while adding the comfort our guests expect today.

And sometimes that means looking at an old radiator and thinking...

If you could talk, what stories would you tell?

Fire, Flowers & Flow is officially open for registration. 🔥🌸

Join us for an intimate wellness evening at the Wild Turkey Inn designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and make space for what comes next.

We’ll begin with reflections and a simple fire release ceremony.

Before you arrive, bring one intention with you:

What are you ready to release?

It could be a habit, a fear, a story, an expectation, a relationship pattern, a limiting belief, or simply something that feels heavy and no longer belongs in the next version of your life.

From there, you’ll move into the Heart Compass Flower Bar Experience, where you’ll create your own bouquet by choosing the flowers, colors, and textures you naturally feel drawn toward.

We’ll finish the evening with reflection, laughs, connection, light bites, w**e and/or beverages.

You’ll leave with your bouquet - and hopefully a little more space inside yourself too.

🌿 WHY WELLNESS?

We spend so much of our lives taking care of everything and everyone around us. Work, family, responsibilities, and the never-ending list of things that need our attention can make it easy to forget about ourselves.

But when was the last time you intentionally made space for you?

Wellness doesn’t have to mean changing your entire life. Sometimes it simply means slowing down long enough to hear yourself again. It can be resting without feeling guilty, sitting under a tree, taking a long bath, reading a book, enjoying the quiet, breathing deeply, or giving yourself permission to do absolutely nothing for a little while.

At Wild Turkey Inn Wellness Center, we believe wellness is about creating space to reconnect with yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

When we constantly pour outward without taking time to restore ourselves, eventually there isn’t much left to pour. Choosing wellness is choosing you, and you are worth the time.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to explore what wellness really means and how small, intentional choices can create more clarity, balance, restoration, and renewal in everyday life.
