Just went down to see the lights. Absolutely gorgeous. And so many new lights!

The 27th annual Hoggard Christmas Wonderland of Lights will be lit up again this year at 101 Dalton Drive in the Bertie County town of Windsor.

The display of more than 500,000 Christmas lights began as a tribute to the Hoggard's late daughter, Carolyn. At the beginning of the 2021 season, the family announced that they would no longer be setting up the annual display.

The Town of Windsor, NC approached the Hoggards about taking over setting up and managing the display, so the annual Christmas tradition will continue at the Hoggard home.

The display begins tonight and will continue through Jan. 1, from 5-9 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays and 5-9:20 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

It is a drive-though display, but you may park your car out of the way of traffic and walk through. Be careful of electric cords.

There is no admission fee, but donations are appreciated.

Calling all animal lovers! We need your HELP! 🙏

With the the shelter consistently at full capacity, our staff has our hands full! We’re looking for people who can regularly lend their time, effort, and talents just a few hours a week to help carry the load of caring for these precious cats and dogs.

We’re seeking out helpers to assist with:
-Photography and Videography- especially someone who can stop in daily to photograph new intakes 📸 🎥
-Food Preparation 🍲
-Kennel and Litter Box Cleaning 💩
-Transport (local for vet appointments and/or long distance to other rescues) 🚗
-Fundraising efforts 💰

We understand everyone has their own lives and priorities, and we greatly appreciate any amount of time you can give us. Please help us grow our dedicated team of volunteers! These individuals are truly the heart and soul of our organization. 💜🐾
