Every single small business owner I know is working to support their family and their families future. That's why we care so much about one another, our families and the children in our community.

Years ago I started this company as a single mother in order to show my girls that no matter what life throws at you, you have the power to survive....thrive even, if you are determined and focused on your goals.

We went through a lot when they were young, and the angel tree was a part of our journey several years in a row.......so I know how much it meant to me, as a mom, and my kids as well. This was the reason I started the angel tree program when I got to a place where I was able to help others by pulling my colleagues and friends together for the kids......to pay it forward for today's children.

The gift wrapping party we hold each year gives community members an opportunity to experience something a little bigger than themselves by coming together as a family of sorts, celebrate, eat and wrap gifts for the kids.

My hope in doing this is to give us all the opportunity to really experience the magic of Christmas. So many people long for the opportunity to re-live Christmas days they hold dear. And so many kids need us to come together for them too.

And this community needs each other more now than we ever have.

This year we are supporting Forsyth Tech's efforts to support the children by helping the parents become self reliant through opportunities that result from higher education.

I may have an opportunity to open a commissary kitchen (commercial). Putting feelers out there right now to see who else might need access to a commercial kitchen.

This would be shared space, a certain number of hours per month, and only one client working during those hours... at a much more affordable price than leasing a kitchen full time.
