Have I mentioned how much I love my guests?
What a perfectly delightful stay I had at Barbara’s! As soon as I got there, Barbara welcomed me with a hearty “hello,” and we ended up chatting, standing (haha), for two hours straight before I stepped out to grab some food before everything closed. Were it not for that, I would have happily continued the conversation, as she is full of stories upon stories built upon a wealth of life experience and steel-hearted panache. In fact, we spent nearly another two hours the next morning chatting with her friend Mary, and I got the chance to share some one-on-one coffee with her husband Ralph as well in their beautiful backyard with their gentle giants of dogs, Moose, Bailey and Chubby. It is always my pleasure to get to know people on a more intimate level, along with the places from which they came. Thank you to you two for being so open to sharing. Check out this thoughtfully, tastefully designed all-things-vintage-and-plants home (the custom embroidery workshop is marvelous, btw)!
