A little backstory: when we purchased Hotel Rio Vista in 2013, we had no idea weā€™d gain such a beloved annual tradition. Without fail, every year in late May or early June, a mama deer delivers her fawns on the little island behind the hotel. They spend about a week there frolicking, exploring, and keeping guests entertained before eventually swimming back to shore.

Returning guests often ask about ā€œour deer familyā€ and try to time their visit just right. Watching the fawns play from the deck never gets old, and this year is no exception.

Theyā€™ve been especially active today, and since I couldnā€™t choose just one video, you get several! šŸ˜Š
