Uff da, Thunder Valley friends! The weather is cold and blustery this afternoon. We hope you and yours are staying safe and cozy in preparation for the holidays.

We have bittersweet news to share. We closed on the sale of Thunder Valley Inn in the past week. This was the right decision for all of us (five family partners) but, after nearly 35 years, it wasn't an easy one. We have made so many dear friends over the years -- from guests to employees to performers to vendors. It has been a tremendous honor to serve you from-scratch food and host you in the inn.

We are not sure what the new owner has in store -- he retains the Thunder Valley name in the sale -- but we wish him all of the best in whatever direction he goes.

Please, friends, stay in touch! If you send an email to Anita ([email protected]), she will get it and enjoy it. Currently, she is caring for Pop (now 92) after surgery on his hand. They are both full of vitality despite some creaky joints.
