Worshipful Jim Olinger, District Instructor of Work, and Brother Isiah Cox, District Social Media Coordinator, were both recognized today for their work and contributions to freemasonry in our area at the Official Visit of Most Worshipful Matthew Todd Szramoski, Grand Master of Masons in Virginia. We are very proud of both of these brothers!

Hoge Lodge No. 8 is proud to join the other lodges of the 48th Masonic District in sponsoring this year’s Back-to-School Community Blood Drive.

We invite everyone in our community to stop by, donate blood, and help make a difference.

In addition to the blood drive, The Lemonade Hut will be on site selling fresh lemonade, so be sure to stop by and support a local business while you’re there.

Whether you’re donating blood, grabbing a lemonade, or simply stopping by to support the event, we hope to see you there as we come together to serve our community.

On Friday, July 24, Hoge Lodge No. 8 had the honor of conferring the Master Mason Degree upon Brother Clyde Phipps.

We are incredibly proud of Brother Phipps for the dedication, perseverance, and commitment he has shown throughout his Masonic journey. Reaching the sublime degree of Master Mason is a significant milestone, and we are excited to welcome him as a full member of our fraternity.

State Championship BBQ Competition, Live Music at the Glades in Wise, Virginia

Hoge Lodge No. 8 is proud to recognize and congratulate this year’s recipient of the Stuart Rose Memorial Scholarship, Brett Childress.

Brett has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of his hard work, dedication, and commitment to his future. He will be attending University of Virginia's College at Wise majoring in biochemistry.

Investing in the next generation is something we take seriously, and it is an honor to support students like Brett as they pursue their goals and work toward making a positive impact in the world.

We wish him continued success in his academic journey and all that lies ahead.
