Wednesday evenings at Samuel Avery's Tavern have become something special.

What started as a new residency a few weeks ago has turned into a standing date for a lot of people in Wolfeboro. Regulars are already picking their usual table or seat at the bar, and the guitar sits right in the middle of it all. The music settles into the background of the evening without ever disappearing, always there for whenever your attention wants to turn toward it, matched to the same care Chef Brian brings to every dish.

Samuel Avery's Tavern describes itself as "an intimate, refined dining experience," and that is exactly the room this music gets to live in every week. It is a rare pairing of uniquely great food, a beautiful historic space, and live instrumental guitar built specifically to complement both.

An invitation to Wolfeboro & The Lakes Region: beginning this Wednesday, July 29, Samuel Avery's Tavern welcomes live solo guitar every Wednesday evening, 5–8pm.

I'm Brad Myrick — an internationally touring guitarist and composer with several albums of original instrumental guitar music and tours across Europe and North America. On Wednesday nights I’ll blend instrumental arrangements of popular classics spanning genres and eras with my own original compositions — the kind of music that deeply rewards a close listen and subtly elevates the experience for those enjoying the food, company, and atmosphere.

Avery's built its menu on seasonality, craftsmanship, and elevated simplicity — small plates and entrées shaped with real restraint and intention. That's the idea behind Wednesdays here, too: one true anchor, supported by everything that belongs around it. Come for dinner, stay for the set, and let the evening build the way a good one always does — quietly, deliberately, toward something worth staying for.

I'm honored to be building something ongoing, for Samuel Avery's Tavern & Pickering House, Wolfeboro, and the whole Lakes Region. Every Wednesday will sound a little different — new sets, same standard — so there's always a reason to make it your standing plan. Wednesdays, 5–8pm.
