***IMPORTANT INFO***

Lake Meriwether Park will close Thursday July 3rd at Sunset and will not reopen until July 4th at 5pm. There will be no fishing or camping allowed on July 4th. After the completion of the fireworks show and once everyone has left the park it will be closed until noon on July 5th so we can make sure the park gets cleaned up. Once reopening on Saturday it will resume normal hours of operation.

The following are few reminders to keep everyone safe a healthy during the fire works event.

1. Hydrate, drink plenty of water. Temperatures will be in the 90s with humidity around 75%. Hot Hot Hot

2. Parking is limited inside the park, please carpool if available.

3. Stay weather aware, it is your responsibility to monitor the weather. There are no structures on the property to escape bad weather.

4. When the fireworks extravaganza begins, hopefully around 9:30, all lanes of Lake Meriwether Rd will become one way for Exit Only. No one will be permitted to enter the park at that time.

5. Once the road becomes one way, traffic in the left lane will only be allowed to turn left and the right lane will only be allowed to turn right. This is to speed up the exit of the park. Prepare early, swapping lanes leads to congestion.

6. Pay attention, there will be a presence of Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue Personnel to guide you in entering and exiting the park. Their safety is paramount.

7. Do Not Cross or tear down any barriers or barricades. These are placed for your safety.

8. Please please please place all trash in the trash containers. Do you part to keep our park as clean as possible.

9. This a family friendly event, any unruly behavior will not be tolerated.

10. HAVE FUN!

We look forward to hosting everyone at today's event. We would like to thank the Meriwether County Board of Commissioneers for the tremendous support in making this happen. We would also like to think the many volunteers who have worked non stop securing venders, cutting grass, organizing activities and soliciting donations for a memorable event.

And last but not least we want to thank our many many sponsors. We have been overwhelmed by the donations recieved for this event. Please take a moment to look over the names on our sponsor banner placed on the bands stage. If you know any of these individuals or businesses personally, we ask that you express gratitude towards those that are committed to supporting our communities.

Remember Gates Open at 5pm.
