Dear Teutoburg Forest,

It is with the deepest regret that due to factors beyond our control,
effective immediately:

1. All Events at Teutoburg Forest are Suspended pending further
information.

2. All camps are recomended to evacuate anything of value currently at Teutoburg Forest.

Since our first event at Teutoburg Forest in 2006, we have graciously been allowed to use the land at little to no cost by the Land Owner.

Recently, the Land Owner has received an offer by a logging company to select cut the land. This offer greatly exceeded the Land Owner's expectations. While he is supportive of Teutoburg Forest, it's an economic offer he can't turn down and we can't compete with.

Currently, we are unsure of how much of Teutoburg Forest will be
logged, where the logging will occur, and what the state of the land
will be afterwards. We're not being kicked out, after the logging
occurs we will still have access to the land.

We, the Teutoburg Board of Directors, will absolutely attempt to remain transparent throughout this and keep everyone up to date with what information we have via public posts as opposed to the typical rumour mill.

We will strive to preserve what we can of Teutoburg Forest.

We are looking forward to the new season coming up, we plan to build two forts at the site for large scale battles...should be a really fun season for all!

To all,
Our grandious plans of expansion have hit a snag. So we are going to change direction. We will not be putting in our car bridge the way we wanted to. So plans are to do a foot bridge instead. At the upcoming event, Roktbrfest, we will be asking for donations to get this project off the ground. Whatever you can spare.
We are growing at a fast pace and need to make room for incoming units and fighting area. Next year we will exceed the areas we have open now.
