Dear Businesses:
We are excited to announce the upcoming Woodland Career Exploration Day at Woodland High School on Friday, April 24, 2026. This will be our 7th year partnering with the Woodland School District to introduce students to opportunities in careers that are trade and skill based and do not require a college degree. Over the years, we have fine-tuned this event towards areas of focus and interest of the students. Last year, we focused upon the areas of the school system’s Career and Technical Education platform, which we will continue to utilize this year. Approximately 400-600 students will be participating in this year’s event.
We invite your company to participate in this event that will start at 8 am for setting up and our first students coming through at around 9 am. The event ends approximately at noon. The Port will provide a continental breakfast and a boxed lunch for your business at the event. Tables and chairs are provided as well. There are limited tables with power options, if you want to show videos, use VR, or other technology to illustrate your business.
We are also aware that your business is likely to have positions in multiple areas. You may be a trade business, like a construction company, but have IT/Computer, Accounting, Maintenance/Mechanics, and other trades within your organization. We would like to highlight the broad range of trades and skills within companies, like yours. With your participation, we will be working with you to identify those types of jobs and careers, what type of training, certifications or experience is required and the pay range.
Please complete the survey ASAP. The survey link is: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CareerFair2026
If you have any issues with the survey, please contact Pam Chace at [email protected] and she will assist you with registration. We appreciate your attention and look forward to your participation in this year’s Woodland Career Exploration event. Further contact, including lunch orders, will be coming out on or before March 21, 2026. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at [email protected] or 360-225-6555.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on April 24th at Woodland High School.
Sincerely,
Debbie Karlsson
