Courtesy Public Notification Parking For A Private Open House Celebration of Life on 8/30 1:30-9pm around the B&B on Fremont St.
There may be considerable traffic & parking. Visitors are encouraged to use public parking areas & walk. It may exceed 25 people at a time.

Sadly, we lost a dearly loved young man who was the best friend to my son since they were teens. Justin was in a motorcycle accident with his girlfriend Alyssa. Family & friends will be joining us on Sunday in tribute to his beautiful soul.

We ask the neighbors be understanding during this difficult time for us all. If you have any concerns please send a private message as all of his family lives within a few blocks. Please no negativity around the circumstances.

Well, lots of new garden spaces to fill. I decided a good physical therapy trip to do some walking would be to go to Kolze's Corner Gardens for "a couple baskets. 2 Fancy clematis, sweet alyssum, & a few coleous". I should own stock in this place by now! I had to get a bucket to sit on & just pointed at things. I thought it would be cheaper that way. NOPE!!! We did ONLY get 2 hanging baskets. Do I get a gold star for that? Then 50 4" pots to spread about & make smaller baskets, 7 clematis, a yellow, iris (7 stalks wo split up), & a triple blooming Lilac in pink. Our first! I forgot to get the 6 packs of sweet alyssums! I'll send George back alone. Safer that way?

Spring Madness! Book for any remaining days in May & get a $25-75 credit for merchandise. 1-3 nights.
The new look for our gardens this year include a rose & perenials garden spilling over the hill. The neighborhood food fenceline with 2 dozen fruits trees & berries. Veggies will go in as soon as it warms up a bit. 2 greenhouses are full! The heart garden by the pond is getting planted & more in & around rocks. Revamp of the porch & walkway gardens too. Chicago Ghost Tours & Cocktails next week! I honestly forgot we were doing this. It came to me around Groundhog Week & well... thousands of people in my house, it poofed out into the ether. So sorry, friends & guests that I told you about it coming up & said I'd post. Oopsie Dasies!
