Repurposing pumpkins for November

Our vegetable garden may not have been as plentiful as years past, but it did produce some beautiful pumpkins. Rather than tossing after Halloween I bought some succulents and repurposed the pumpkins into table centerpieces. So happy with how they turned out! It’s perfect for November gatherings and Thanksgiving dinner.

New breakfast alert at Chapman Knoll!

I have an arsenal of favorite breakfast recipes for my Bed & Breakfast guests, but am always on the lookout for new recipes. This caramel banana french toast is certainly a winner and being added to the rotation.

A Halloween tree. Who am I?!

Honestly, there were years in the past that for one reason or another we didn’t even decorate for Christmas let alone other holidays. This week my mom is visiting the farm and brought the festive flair. Let’s just say I would have never picked out Halloween trees in a store, but she had a vision and I couldn’t love it any more.

Get guinea’s they said. Guinea’s will eat all the ticks on your land they said.

I think these guinea’s may be broken. They run back and forth across the tin roof daily. They don’t run away from cars, they run after them. And they left our property for a two day adventure. Let’s hope it’s just their “teenage” phase.
